Bach or holiday home, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, (Sleeps 4)

Welcome to our clean and comfy family bach, One Tree Point is an attractive holiday location less than 2 hours from Auckland and 20 minutes from Whangarei.

With just a short stroll to the beach it is a great area for water activities such as swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing. The bach is a few minutes walk (100m) to a safe swimming beach and has lovely views of Whangarei Harbour and Mt Manaia. One Tree Point Store is a 1 minute drive and carries a range of produce (and dive tank refills) catering for your basic needs. At night, the bach is setup with Freeview Satellite, wifi and has some board games and DVDs.

The property is flat with off street parking for plenty of cars or your boat. We are centrally positioned, with "all tide" boat ramps located within 3 minutes on either side of the bach.

The facilities at Marsden Cove Marina include a fuel jetty and a free electric vehicle charging station. This is less than 2 km away, has a fabulous café restaurant with great views of boats at their moorings and a small selection of services and shops.

There are activities in the area: Waipu Caledonian games (1st Jan), Waipu Caves and Glow Worms, Skydiving, Stand Up Paddle Boards Hire Ruakaka, Marsden Point Refinery Visitor Information Centre, Marsden Cove Seafood Festival, One Tree Point School Guy Fawkes Night and the spectacular sandy views at Waipu Golf Course. Tennis courts are available after hours at the school across the road.

A 9 minute drive will take you to Ruakaka Town Centre where there is a small range of shops including: supermarkets, food retailers, medical services and personal care facilities. Should you desire a larger choice of restaurants, retail therapy, pampering, bar hopping or a movie night, then Whangarei City is a 30 minute drive. En route to Whangarei is Longview Estate (wine tastings at the right time of year may include 'White Diamonds', which has a cult following).

Special Conditions:

- Smoking is allowed outside only

- Pets are welcome (with prior approval) if you clean up after them in every respect and ensure they keep off the furniture so the bach stays nice for all to enjoy, there are no fences

- Deck has netting along the sides but small children should be supervised at all times

- Duvets, blankets are all provided and it is preferred that you bring your own linen such as sheets and towels, however, these can be provided at an additional cost (see optional fees below)

- Caravans and tents need prior approval, please email first

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to clean the house and do the dishes before you leave, bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels), however we do offer these as an extra if needed, please see below for prices.
