This charming southwestern style adobe condo is nestled in the Sangre de Christo mountains with scenic views of the peaceful Valdez Valley. Enjoy all of the amenities and conveniences of nearby Taos (10 minutes), Taos Ski Valley (10 minutes), and the quaint New Mexican village of Arroyo Seco (3 minutes), while enjoying the tranquility offered by this private retreat. Walk out the backdoor and hike into the Sangre de Cristo mountains or enjoy world-class skiing or fly-fishing just minutes away.

The interior has been recently appointed with new furnishings, appliances, linens, flat screen televisions with satellite service, and other amenities to make your stay comfortable. The downstairs is perfect for the whole family to spend time together, as it is open concept and contains the kitchen, living room, dining room, and a full bathroom. Vigas support the beautiful exposed tongue and groove ceilings. A Kiva fireplace and baseboard heat will keep you warm in the winter. Firewood is available behind the condo in the wood racks. There is a new queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress that is very comfortable. The dining table seats 6 and the bar seats another two. The downstairs closet is stocked with a large video library and there is a DVD/VHS player for your use. There are board games and cards in the cabinet under the flat screen TV. Internet phone calls may be made over the high speed wi-fi. The kitchen is nicely equipped with new pots and pans, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, garbage disposal, and all dinnerware and flatware. Outside the back door, there are open areas for kids to play and a deck to enjoy the outdoors or grill.

Upstairs (the parking level) there are two master bedrooms, each with a queen bed and an en suite full bathroom. Each bedroom is equipped with a new flat screen TV Apple TV connection. Each bedroom has a Kiva fireplace and independently controlled baseboard heat to keep you cozy in the winter. The back bedroom has a balcony/deck with sitting area overlooking Valdez Valley. It is perfect for enjoying the beautiful mountain sunsets! The cool mountain breezes will keep you comfortable in the warmer months. Each bedroom has a large closet and drawers for ample storage. Also, they each have a hairdryer and there is an iron and ironing board.

Popular nearby activities include: Winter snow sports (skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing); warm weather activities (hiking, rod and fly fishing, white water rafting); sightseeing (Taos Pueblo, The Rio Grande Gorge, Carson National Forest, museums, the Earthship biotecture); shopping (Arroyo Seco, art galleries around Taos Square, Bent Street, the shops at Overland, and local craftsmen); music, libations, and entertainment (Taos Mesa Brewery Tap Room, Taos Mesa Brewery on the Mesa, Alley Cantina, and KTAOS).

Please note: the condo is in the mountains and winter weather conditions may exist. It is an easy drive to the condo, other than the 0.1 mile driveway that is steep and can be slick. 4 wheel drive and/or snow chains are suggested during the winter months. We occasionally use 4WD when it snows at the condo.
