The cottage is only an hour's drive from Paris and Disneyland. It is also the perfect and quiet spot to discover the "Champagne road" (little villages, good restaurants, cellars), many castles (Fontainebleau, Vaux le Vicomte, La Motte Tilly), la Roseraie in Provins, Vezelay. Go by train to Paris from Provins if you want to avoid driving ... Paris is one hour by train.
The cottage is a mix of old and new, of nature, of art and other books, of Bocce Ball, ping pong, fishing, jogging around the lake.....
