New Zealand
Sleeps 4, perfect for small family or couples.
Gorgeous country cottage in quiet location on the edge of the stunning New Forest, just 1 mile from the beach and close to the New Forest. Oak Tree Cottage is a brand new barn conversion, beautifully renovated with wooden flooring, underfloor heating throughout and double-height open plan living area. It is a cosy and comfortable base after a day exploring the New Forest and lovely Hampshire/Dorset coastline. Set in open countryside on a private rural lane, it is a peaceful holiday location, but close to popular Lymington and just down the road from the beach at the friendly village Milford on Sea and stunning Keyhaven salt marshes.
Start your day with the papers and a coffee outside in your private south facing garden (a real sun trap!) or in the modern kitchen/diner, with doors out on to the patio. After a day of beachcombing, sightseeing or cycling through the forest, sleep well in comfortable beds, between Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a stylish ensuite bedroom with king size bed and patio doors on to the garden. Perfect for small families or friends, there's also a twin room and another bathroom with shower, bath, heated towel rail and soft, fluffy towels.
You'll find the kitchen well equipped, and a BBQ, outdoor table, chairs and cushions, and a hammock, for al fresco dining/relaxing. In the cooler months the underfloor heating throughout the whole cottage will keep you warm and toasty after a day exploring. There's a large TV, DVDs and board games if you fancy an evening in.
For larger groups, we also run the nearby Apple Court House, which sleeps 10, should you wish to rent both properties for a family gathering.
Please note we are in the process of adding more photos.
Other things to note:
Oak Tree Cottage is part of a terrace of 3 cottages on a very quiet private lane. Next door is the beautiful Apple Court Garden, a 1 acre garden which is open to the public from May - September, from 10-4pm, 5 days a week. You are very welcome to visit the gardens as much as you like during these hours - a real treat if you like gardens! The garden has a website you can find for more information.
