Superb 2 Bed lodge with all modern amenities in superb New Forest location
Modern and Rustic two bedroom lodge on the edge of the New Forest in Damerham Village close to Cranborne and Fordingbridge. Once a stable in the days of the horse and carriage , this was the resting place of the Royal Mail horses travelling from Salisbury to London
Today it is a peaceful lodge in the grounds of the 350+ year old thatched cottage .
Fully modernised with contemporary Lounge , Kitchen and Bathroom , the lodge also has two attic bedrooms with vaulted wooden ceilings and floors , as well as a large vaulted hall and stairwell , giving that New Forest vacation experience
The grounds of are extensive , with a huge lawn stretching down to the River Allen at the foot of the garden , which boasts a historic Walnut Tree, Lime Tree and Magnolias , Apples and Bamboo
There is parking for one vehicle at the front of the Lodge , and also street parking close by.
The Village Hall and Pub are a 2 minute walk away, and provide a vibrant feel to this working Village
The New Forest National Park is just a few miles away , with its unique ecology , wildlife and plant life .
Historic towns such as Fordingbridge , Ringwood , Salisbury abd Wimborne are all less than 20 minutes drive . Stonehenge is also less than an hour away
Damerham can be reached just 15 minutes from the A31 which leads to the M27/M3 and A35
A quintessential English village mentioned in the Doomsday book , nearby are the Roman Villa in Rockbourne , and Medievil St George’s Church
The Lodge sits in the grounds of the owners home, yet retains its own privacy
