Tour Descriptions:

Bayplay Lodge is the ideal family group accommodation, nestled amidst the tea trees in a peaceful setting just 500m from the beach. Perfect for family holidays, reunions, special interest groups and school camps!

The Space:

The lodge provides 10 bedrooms with mixed bedding configuarations of beds, Additional guests are charged extra for families with children or community and school group bookings.

Guest Access:

The private lodge with carparking for up to 8 vehicles includes a secure back yard & BBQ area. A separate entry gate leads to the shared swimming pool which is a shared space with adjoining holiday cottages and our scuba diving school.

The Neighborhood:

We are spoiled for choice with so much to do on the Peninsula.

Water activities: We are surrounded by both back and front beaches, so there are endless opportunities. Bayplay Adventure Tours are your one Stop Adventure Shop and can book any of the following tours: Snorkel or Dive with Dragons, Sea kayaking along the Dolphin Sanctuary coastline, Learn to Scuba Dive in a day, Sailing Charters and Catamaran Cruises to the Seals or Hire a bike, kayak or Stand up paddle board. We can provide and book any of the day tours for you with Bayplay Adventure Tours located in Portsea.

Upcoming events:

- The Briars market - every Tuesday afternoon from 3-6pm.

- Red Hill market - First Saturday of every month from September - May

- Boneo Community Market - every third Saturday – 8am-12pm

- Emu Plains Market – 9am-12pm - every third Saturday - Oct-April

- Sorrento Ghost tours - visit around 12 Historical locations, at least 8 of which are believed to be occupied by Ghosts, including the Continental Hotel, Athenaeum Cinema & Three Palms Restaurant.

Food & wine:

We are surrounded by many cellar doors, vineyards and incredible restaurants just a short drive along the peninsula's coastal roads. There is beautiful Red Hill and main ridge dairy just a short drive away which offers wine, fresh produce, seafood and bountiful food. There is also many markets in summertime to delight your senses.

Golf:

There's a huge choice of play from social golf to the very demanding Open course at Moonah Links. There is Sorrento and Portsea gold club just a stone’s throw away.

Peninsula Hot Springs:

This coastal oasis provides the idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Two bathing facilities including a bath house, cave pool, Turkish steam baths, saunas and family bathing areas, massaging thermal mineral showers and hilltop pool all offering stunning 360 degree views of the region.

Shopping:

There are dozens of charming villages along our coastlines and scattered throughout our peaceful hinterland but we are lucky enough to have the Sorrento and Blairgowrie village at our fingertips. So whether you want the quiet of the countryside, or the color of the coastal high streets, you'll find it here.

Getting Around:

Public transport is 500m at the end of the road on the 788 bus line

Other Things to Note:

Peak season - we prefer a weekend booking during peak season, including long weekend (3 nights) and Easter holiday (4 nights).

Linen hire available for a fee per person Must be booked in advance. Bedding with Doonas and pillows provided.
